- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 1 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
- 1 oz agave nectar (adjust to taste)
- 2 oz fresh pineapple juice
- 2-3 slices fresh jalapeño (adjust to taste)
- Coarse sea salt or kosher salt (for rimming the glass)
- Ice
- Lime wedge and jalapeño slices (for garnish)
Prepare the Glass: Rub the rim of your glass with a lime wedge and dip it in a plate of coarse sea salt or kosher salt to coat the rim. Set aside.
Muddle Jalapeño: In a shaker, gently muddle 2-3 slices of fresh jalapeño to release the heat. Adjust the number of slices depending on your spice preference.
Mix Ingredients: Add the tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and fresh pineapple juice to the shaker with the muddled jalapeño.
Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to combine and chill the ingredients.
Strain: Double strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice. To double strain, first strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove any jalapeño seeds and pineapple pulp, then pour it into the glass.
Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a lime wedge and additional slices of jalapeño for a touch of flair. Enjoy!
